Robert Barker Art found a very real and very rare Pink Grasshopper™ at 11:11am, 8th December in 2011, located in Thomastown, Melbourne, Australia.
Yes, that’s right, you read that correctly, Pink Grasshoppers are found in Australia! And, what makes them so rare and pink in colour, is an unusual over production of the red pigment, known as erythrism.
Because of this one in a million chance of seeing a Pink Grasshopper, I took a series of photographs and I thought it would make a really unique name for a website!
So, all of my artwork has been hand sketched then hand painted onto canvas here in Australia. The second painting I completed was the Pink Grasshopper, so I’ve used that image for my logo too!
And, all of my Greeting Cards are designed and made, printed and packaged in Australia.
But, I will confirm, they are all 100% Australian made and 100% Australian owned.
