A little intro to Robert Barker and Pink Grasshopper.

 

You can’t possibly imagine the momentary joy I felt when I first spotted a little pink grasshopper.

At the time, I was working in a garden at an aged care facility. When I looked down I saw this cute little pink character who casually stretched from one leaf to another leaf. That gorgeous little pink creature was breath-taking and she seemed to be holding her artistic pose long enough for me to wake up and take some photos.

I glanced back up and kept working but then something hit me in my heart. What I saw must have been a rarity for any person to see because I had never seen or heard of a pink grasshopper before. In other words, I did finally wake up in awe of this beautiful little pink being. I had witnessed a little pink miracle.

Who would ever imagine that grasshoppers could be pink, which is why I almost missed a very blessed moment. Pulling out my phone, I took a number of photo’s, never realising that in a few years time that I might be painting my second painting, titled ‘Yes, I am, a little Pink Grasshopper’

After doing more paintings, I decided to share the joy of my paintings on an art website. Sadly, six months later, I was told I had to remove my painting of my little pink grasshopper. The reason was, that someone, a production company, had claimed it was their’s. I queried and challenged that claim, asking them to provide original photos to support their claim. 

Needless to say, I kept my artwork on that site, I kept the title name of the painting, and became inspired to create my website www.pinkgrasshopper.com.au
